Seville — what’s it like?

The city became world famous as a tourist destination in the 19th century, which was the beginning of its rapid development. The Guadalquivir, the fifth largest river in Spain, flows through Seville. The water divided the city into two parts: the Triana and the Selvia. In the tourist industry, the city has become famous for its unique architecture and traditions. Seville has five districts: Centro Historico (Historical Center), Barrio de Santa Cruz (Bohemian district), La Macarena, Triana and El Arenal.

Each of the above neighborhoods has its own historical and architectural sites, natural landscapes and special traditions. When visiting Seville, it is definitely worth enjoying the seaside cuisine and learning the ins and outs of Spanish culinary traditions. Popular dishes that will conquer wedding guests are: traditional tapas, tortilla omelette, Galician octopus, Spanish olives, sheep cheese from La Mancha, tapas with jamon. You can also indulge your invited guests with Spanish drinks. From drinks you can choose sangria, wine with soda and lemon. Spanish cuisine will be to the taste of the guests of the celebration. Original delicacies will turn the wedding buffet into an abundance of culinary traditions.

Parque María Luisa is a city park in Seville

María Luisa Park is located along the river that divides Seville into two parts. The Mediterranean climate and the amazing beauty of the park complex beckon tourists from all over the world with its colorful scenery. This attraction covers an area of 34 hectares and houses an entire botanical garden.

Old trees that have been growing in the park for many years, rare flowers brought from all over the world, park attractions, fountains, lakes and waterfalls, sculptures and alleys, create an amazing atmosphere of mystery and tranquility. Maria Luisa Park is a tourist treasure of Seville. Here you can visit a small «Moorish garden», which will be a real decoration for wedding photos, thanks to its unique objects of garden art.

This place has combined European classics and ethnic Moorish traditions, which, combined with the beautiful landscapes, is perfect for a painting ceremony and photo shoot. Seville City Park has a huge number of Mediterranean and tropical plants such as Lebanese cedars, orange trees, olive trees, palm trees and roses. The park’s promenade is famous for its noble atmosphere, which will no doubt appeal to couples in love.

The Alcazar Palace is a famous landmark in all of Spain

Today, this amazing and world-famous landmark is a favorite place to celebrate weddings. Guests and newlyweds will feel the amazing, chic, royal atmosphere of this place that will be remembered forever. The area around the palace is designed with every landscape and park nuance in mind, and is without exaggeration one of the most spectacular in Seville. The manicured flowerbeds and lawns create an attractive appearance, while the unique palace buildings give a taste of history and ancient eras. The Alcazar Palace was built by the Moors back in the year 720. The age of this structure makes it the oldest royal palace still in use today.

The traditional architectural styles of the Moors and European Gothic gave the building its original appearance. There is an inner courtyard on the territory of the palace. Studying the architecture of the building, we can distinguish several periods during which the walls of the palace were built: Moorish, Gothic (13th century), Jaeger (14th century). In the inner courtyard of the building one can observe artificial reservoirs, live plants, unique facade paintings with gilding and colored tiles. The palace building itself is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the park, which is more than 800 years old, is one of the most impressive sights of the city.

The Plaza de España is an amazing combination of two styles

Plaza de España in Seville is one of the favorite attractions for tourists. Built in 1928 by architect Anibel Gonzalez, the square is a wide and beautiful promenade, designed according to two architectural styles: Art Deco and Mudejar. The Plaza de España has a semi-circular shape with a fountain with bridges in the center. The amazing and original appearance of this place makes it more than suitable for marriage ceremonies and wedding photo shoots.
